Three New Projects

I did a journal page, using some of what I've learned in Sharons Tomlisons' class. The
photo didn't turn out the best...it is much richer in person. Oh well, at least she is here.

I had fun creating a couple of new paintings. These were from some painting magazines that

I've had for quite awhile. It was a nice break from my lessons.

So, now it is back to my lessons. I've only got about 4 more to go with this session. Each one
seems to get a little more difficult, but using different techniques. I am working on a still life now which is a nice break after all of the stokework in the last two lessons. I just hope that it turns out okay. It seems that most of these lessons have what you call "an ugly stage" before it comes around and starts to look like it is suppose to. So, you look at it and say....yuck, this looks awful! You keep on going and pretty soon it takes on a whole new look and you start to feel more confident.
Let's hope so.....

Sue, Hi! Thanks for visiting my blog again. You asked about the circle punches. One - the small one with the scalloped edge - is one of Martha's. The larger one is a Marvey and I got both at Michaels. If you can't find it there, try Jo-Ann's in person or online. Good luck! I have a scalloped oval too by Marvey. Don't try to cut card stock with any Marvey punch. They're not strong enough. They break!
I also use scalloped edge scissors on plain large ovals because I don't want to invest in those expensive machines.
Hope this helps! Let me know.

Blessings and hugs,
Diane

Hey Sue!! Yep, I had to go and do it...and are you telling me the DJ is going to do a class on fabric journals?? Oh my, I guess that will be my next one. This remains of the day class is awesome. But there are scraps of fabric and paper and stuff everywhere and that gives me a headache. So I have to do it in stages and mess up then clean up and start again. I am crazy that way. :))
